Recent News
2010-2011 Group Kick-Off
Booth's full-time Net Impact chapter kicked off
the 2010-2011 year with a social event downtown at English Pub and Restaurant,
and then welcomed prospective members at our table at the student
activity fair and our kick-off meeting the weekend of September 24th -
25th. This year's Net Impact co-chairs are planning a series of Lunch
and Learns with top social impact organizations, as well as a series of
social events to help bring together socially-minded Booth students.
Net Impact Education Committee
Net Impact is launching an Education Industry
Group, a sub-committee within Booth's Net Impact chapter that will
provided special programming for members interested in the education
industry, whether that be public education, higher education,
for-profit education, or education entrepreneurship. Activities
will include (1) consulting projects for Chicago Public Schools and
other education organizations (2) education related Lunch and Learns
(3) networking opportunities and (4) job search help. The
committee chairs will be meeting with current students who are
interested in leadership opportunities, organizing speakers, events,

2010 Net Impact Conference
The 2010
Net Impact Conference will take place October 28-30, 2010 at the
Ross School of Business at The University of Michicag in Ann Arbor, MI.
The theme of the conference is 2020:
Vision for a Sustainable Decade,
and it will focus on empowering business leaders to envision their role
in a sustainable future. The conference will bring together more than
2,500 of the top professionals from a variety of fields, including
consultants, CSR practitioners, nonprofit leaders, and sustainability
specialists, and students from top business, policy, and environmental
graduate programs around the world. Booth's Net Impact chapter
will be arranging transportation, lodging, and social events for our
members. We look forward to an awesome experience for all
participants!

Each week, Chicago Booth Net Impact distributes
an e-newsletter full of notices on upcoming events and competitions as
well as interesting articles and volunteer opportunities.
