Joe Casola is a first-year student at Chicago Booth. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Virginia Tech with a degree in Mathematics. He was a consultant at Deloitte Consulting and an analyst in Capital One's derivatives group. He was on the Booth team that won the Ross Investment Competition in 2015. He is a part time intern school-year at Alyeska Investment Group, where he will also be a summer intern. Joe loves to run and explore the city with his wife Julie in his free time.
Eric Chow is a first-year student at Chicago Booth. Eric graduated from the University of Chicago in 2012 and received his B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies. Prior to business school, he worked for three years as an analyst at Grosvenor Capital Management in Chicago. He was on the Booth team that won the Ross Investment Competition in 2015. This summer he will intern with J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York City. Eric's interests include basketball, international travel, and exploring new restaurants.
Chris Cruickshank is currently a first-year student at Chicago Booth. Chris graduated from Queen's University (Canada) with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2009. After college, Chris worked as a consultant with the Monitor Group in Toronto and as an Associate with Penfund, a mid-market private equity and credit fund. This summer Chris will be interning with MFS in their Toronto office. Personal interests include travelling, craft beer, and cheering on beleaguered Toronto sports teams.
Anderson Dong is currently a first-year student at Chicago Booth. Anderson graduated from Zhejiang University in China with a BA in Entrepreneurial Management in 2011. After graduation, he worked for 4 years at Mars Chocolate in its leadership rotation program with experience in marketing, supply chain and commodity research. This summer Anderson will work in Credit Research for PIMCO in Hong Kong. Personal interests include scuba diving, marathon and tennis.
Max Gelb is a first-year student at Chicago Booth. Max graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in Economics in 2011 and is a CFA charterholder. He has four years of experience as an investment consultant for Cambridge Associates, where he advised pension funds and non-profit endowments on asset allocation and manager selection. This summer, Max will be interning with PAAMCO, a fund of hedge funds in Irvine, California. Max enjoys tennis and international travel, and he is a lifelong fan of the New York Giants.
Kathy Mohanna is currently a first-year student at Chicago booth. Kathy graduated from Northwestern University with BA in Economics and minor in Business in 2009. Following graduation, Kathy spent 6 years in Principal Investing Group at Wells Fargo focusing on investing proprietor capital of the bank in both public and private market opportunities across the financials space. Personal interests include ballet, flying trapeze, equestrian sports, and traveling.
Thomas Yao is currently a first-year student at Chicago Booth. Thomas graduated from Georgetown University with a BS (Hon.) in Chemistry in 2010. Following college, he worked for 5 years at Goldman Sachs in New York in credit and interest rate derivatives. During the academic year, Thomas is an analyst at Goudy Park Capital, a hedge fund in Chicago. This summer, Thomas will work in Equity Research for The TCW Group in Los Angeles. Personal interests include traveling, bungee jumping, skydiving and the New York Mets and Jets.
