Prior to attending business school, Ryuk studied medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. While in New Orleans, Ryuk worked with a startup medical device company called Maxiflex as Regulation and Market Research Intern. He has previously worked as Director of Operations at the Daily Caller, a D.C. based news website, and as Regional Field Director for the McCain—Palin 2008 Presidential Campaign. This summer, Ryuk will be interning at Lazard Frères & Co. in the Healthcare Group, focusing on M&A and restructuring. At Booth, Ryuk is pursuing concentrations in Accounting, Economics and Finance. He holds an M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine and a B.S. in Biochemistry and a B.A. in Biology from the University of Virginia.

 
Jonathan Chan

Jonathan Chan - jchan3@chicagobooth.edu

Jonathan's interest in healthcare was sparked during his summer before business school when he interned at a healthcare startup accelerator called Blueprint Health. Prior to that, he was a finance and operations manager at Equinox Fitness, where he provided support in strategic planning and investment decision-making processes. Jonathan started his career as an investment banking analyst at Peter J. Solomon Company, a boutique M&A advisory firm with clients across the consumer and retail, life sciences, technology and media sectors. At Booth, he has been an active member of the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club and has been interning part-time for a consumer health tech startup. Jonathan received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Columbia University.

 
Vicky Huang

Lunch and Learn Co-Chair

Vicky graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and Statistics and a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering. She worked at GE Healthcare in Taipei, Taiwan and Baxter Healthcare in Round Lake, IL before joining Deloitte Consulting in Shanghai, China. As a consultant in Deloitte's Strategy & Operations practice, she worked with clients from various industries including pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer goods and manufacturing, focusing on corporate strategy, growth and portfolio strategy, M&A strategy, supply chain and performance improvement. As a member of Deloitte's Life Sciences and Healthcare team, Vicky co-authored several industry white papers analyzing market trends in China's healthcare sector. This summer, Vicky will be interning at Deloitte Consulting's New York office. At Booth, she is pursuing concentrations in Strategic Management, Finance, and Operations Management.

 
Lizzie Kibler

Lizzie Kibler graduated from Wake Forest University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and minor in Biology. After college, Lizzie moved to Charlotte and continued on the healthcare track working as a financial analyst for a boutique investment bank McColl Partners, LLC in the firm’s healthcare industry group. At McColl Partners, she focused primarily on sellside transactions and served clients in a variety of healthcare industry subsectors including pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, physician practice management, pharmacy benefit management, managed care, and life sciences. At Booth, Lizzie is pursuing concentrations in Strategic Management and Operations and is part of the Graduate Program in Health Administration and Policy (GPHAP). This summer, she will be pursuing her career interests in hospital administration and interning at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare in their Graduate Administrative Internship Program.

 
Chuyun (Jasmine) Kuo

Jasmine Kuo got her B.S in Biotechnology and M.S in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from National Yang Ming University, Taiwan. After graduation, she began her career in the healthcare industry as a PR professional. She worked for Roche Taiwan as a corporate PR, specializing in product communications, stakeholder relationship, and crisis management. Her latest work with Novartis Taiwan, as a market access/public affairs manager, covers the strategic planning of the changing healthcare policies, the innovative solutions of drug access through engaging patient groups and other key decision makers. Her major interests and passions lie in bringing the best healthcare solutions to those in need and enhancing the efficiency of health systems. This summer, she will be working in Johnson & Johnson Medical device business in Shanghai.
