The DuSable Conference is AAMBAA's annual signature event. The conference is named in honor of Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable, the first settler of Chicago and the city's first black resident. The conference features black business leaders to motivate and inspire current students and alumni to excel professionally and personally.
Past Conferences
The 27th Annual DuSable Conference took place on November 5, 2011, and featured keynote speakers Andre Hughes ’88, Global Managing Director at Accenture, and Andrea Wishom, Vice-President and Executive Producer at Harpo Studios.
The 26th Annual DuSable Conference took place on April 15-16th, 2011, and featured keynote speakers Shegan Campbell ’05, CEO of Kids Science Lab; Ron Hubeman ’00, Former CEO of Chicago Public Schools; and Dr. Steve Perry, CNN Education Contributor.
